About me
Heather’s previous career in science & engineering is evident throughout her architectural and mechanical designs.
After making & selling jewellery for 7 years whilst working full-time, she returned to university as a mature student to study Jewellery & Silversmithing at the world-renowned Birmingham School of Jewellery. Graduating in 2019 with distinction, she was awarded a Goldsmiths Precious Metal Grant and a bronze award by the Goldsmiths Craft & Design Council. In 2020 Heather was appointed as a visiting tutor at the Birmingham School of Jewellery. Heather’s handmade jewellery is inspired by her childhood spent in the Gloucestershire countryside and a lifelong passion for gothic architecture. Her previous career in science & engineering is also evident in her award winning mechanical & kinetic designs. She works in silver, gold & semi-precious stones, and is now branching out into sculptural automata made from base metals, wood and other upcycled materials. |
