20/01/2019 - Future Ideas

I initially intended to make this pair of bowerite jade donuts into drop earrings, however when I finally got round to weighing them, I discovered they were too heavy (industry standard is 7g).

I also had a smaller matching stone, so changed my plans to include them all in a heavy necklace.
So far only the bottom drop is complete, including the tube set rhodolite garnet I chose to compliment the subtle green.

Central to my green & purple colour scheme from the start, was this beautiful fluorite donut.
Unfortunately it's central hole was an awkward size and I never quite got the central tube suitable for flaring.
I shall continue to work on it at a later date.
