24/12/2018 - Hoop Earrings

There has been much debate amongst the students about what exactly constitutes a “hoop” earring.
I asked the tutors to be more specific right back when we were given the brief, and was brushed off.
However the debate continued right up until the end of the module.

These are some results of a quick search for "hoop earrings".  I would use the word hoop to describe them all, but I don't believe any would be acceptable in the context of this project.

Anyway I decided to stay safe and exactly replicate the method we were shown, for my final hooks.
I was unable to get the finish I wanted on the concave rear of the castings, so I gave them a matt finish.
I’m pretty happy with them.
