Although I’m settled on an orrery for my final piece, I still looked into some of the other similar devices I considered early on, for aesthetic inspiration.
Armillary spheres and sundials are basically the same thing. Astrolabes are ancient navigational devices and astronomical/astrological clocks are can be found throughout Europe (a tourists replica of the Prague one, currently sits in my home studio). |
