Next up was the oval brooch. I started by riveting the lantern gear in place and setting a cabochon over the top.
I could then use the pivot tube to rivet the whole structure together in one go (this is where the lessons learnt on the hearts commission paid off). Another cabochon covered the top rivet.
I could then add the double pin to the back.
The gear motion is not as good on this one
