I knew I wanted to achieve my Antikythera Mechanism inspired texture, with acid etching.
I also considered adding gold with keum boo, but ran out of time. |

As happened last time I tried acid etching, I left the pieces in too long.
However I was delighted with the results. Some parts have completely disappeared, which is rather wasteful, but is totally in character with the corrosion caused by centuries under the sea.
With the "Moving Scenes" collection being so clean and precise in design, I'm really finding this messy approach liberating.
