03/05/2018 -Bracelet Assembly

The initial plan was to solder a small length of tube onto each side of the link bar.  This would allow a gem to be set and make the bar too long to come back through the rectangular hole.
My attempts at lining the tubes up with the bar, were mostly unsuccessful, and when I did find a method that worked, the appearance was not good enough.

So I opted to cut off all the bars (except one which was to be the catch) and replace them with tube.
I could then put the bare post through the hole, and solder the tube in place with the minimum of effort.
A couple of hours later, and I finally had something that resembled a bracelet.

One of the many tools I used to clean up the bracelet.

Hooray, the first stone.
In preparation for tube setting 14 miniscule gems, I ordered a bezel setting tool set.
It has honestly been a lifesaver and the whole process took minutes and produced much better results than would have been possible with my homemade pusher tool.

The baguette stones were set with my Foredom pendant motor and hammer handpiece.  Again much quicker than it would have taken me to do by hand.
