24/10/2018 - Final CAD Design - Fans
I want the three fans to be identical pieces so they can be cast from the same mold.
I know Weston Beamor want a maximum of 3 parts to assemble, and my design is 5. This decision at least means there's only 3 molds.

I've included a small washer to sit on the bottom of the fans, to stop scratching caused by opening and closing.
The peg that protrudes from the top of each fan acts as a handle on the top layer, and part of the opening/closing mechanism for the others.

The crucial part of the moving mechanism is that the 3 pegs & slots all line up and form a perfect arc around the central pivot point. This allows a smooth opening & closing motion.
The exact height that the fans will sit above the shank is governed by the large stone setting. I've offset this around the shank to keep it as low as possible.
