25/10/2018 - Final CAD Design - Pivot & Second Trillion
The exact width of the pivot post was a complete guess. I went for 1.5mm to keep it strong.
The lowest fan, although manufactured separately, needs to be fixed to the main shank piece. This would be best done with laser welding after the stones have been set (although soldering might be also be possible before stone setting).
I've included a positioning bump on the pivot to allow easy assembly. Hopefully the corresponding recess in the bottom of the fans is not too noticeable.

I've also added a couple of ribbon crosses, stolen from the shank, because I thought the pivot base looked too much like a toilet drain.
The choice of where to put the second trillion stone, was a tricky one. In the end I went for the other side of the ring, to provide a bit of balance.
