11/12/2018 - Hoops

Not wanting to waste good making time on something I couldn't wear or sell, I decided to make the hoop earrings we were shown today, in silver patterned with my bronze dies.

Having broken about 5 drill bits in the thick silver I was initially using, I decided to start again with thinner wire.
I didn't have any suitable round wire, so went for square that I could add a decorative twist to.

I cut the hinge slots with speedy disks (or separating disks as Cooksons calls them). How have I ever survived this long without them?

New toy, macro lens for my phone camera.  Lets me get really close up photos.

Not wanting to waste my initial patterned hoops, I cut off the ends that contained all the broken drill bits, and made them into studs.
