10/12/2018 - Master Pattern
I initially cut the whole pattern out from 0.9mm thick gilding metal. However when it came to doming it, I cut off the surrounding circle, domed the internal pattern and then soldered on a new circle.

It was always my intention to build up the 3D structure to emulate real gothic tracery. I tried to do this with milliput but found it didn't hold onto the metal well enough to allow me to carve out the structure.
