"Moving Scenes" - 16/05/2019 Crank Shafts

I really left my crank shafts till the last minute on this.
I had planned in time for experiments, but just ran out of time.
In the end, I opted for a uniform wave, formed by twisting 1mm wire in half.

Having unwound the twist, I then straightened it out with a draw plate.

As it turns out, I straightened the twists out too much, and I didn't get nearly enough movement.
So I'm handing in unfinished pieces.
They look lovely (unless you look at the surface finish too closely) but don't bob around very much, and slide around a lot.
I threaded jump rings onto the crank shafts, with the intention of laser welding them into place, to fix the position of the moveable components.  However I ran out of time and didn't want to mess it up by rushing, so will have to attempt this after assessment.
