What on earth can I do that is based on a maypole but is easy to manufacture?
So I spoke to Jo, who suggested that "kinetic" doesn't necessarily have to mean "spinning". Could some simple articulation satisfy my desire for movement?
Brilliant. Triangular "fans" that fold in & out to reveal the large stone.

Excited by my new plan, I mocked it up in Photoshop, just to see if it would work aesthetically.
Does it? I don't know, but I'm going to plough ahead with it anyway.
