02/2018 -Design Experiments

I can't draw 3 dimensional objects straight from my brain, so I'm playing with models to develop my design ideas.
These are inspired by the weathered planks on Birnbeck Pier.

Rolled woodgrain patterns - wire & coffee holder.

These models are based on the "pixellated" woodgrain at Purton.
The square wire stack, was quite tall so I changed to a rectangular cross section.

The yellow models are made from cut up foam sheet, and show the twist/lock idea I came up with for the linkage & catch mechanism.

Now we're getting somewhere.  I can now work out the final design on paper...
